Carl von Bšnninghausen - a Forgotten Homoeopath and his Studies
A lot of physicians practised
homoeopathy and dedicated their lives to the method of Samuel Hahnemann, but
most of them seem to have been forgotten. By tracing the life of one of them it
can be shown how one can learn more about those people and find documents that
shed some light on their lives and actions. Carl von Bšnninghausen was the son
of the famous lay homoeopath Clemens Maria Franz von Bšnninghausen. Due to the
fact that he married the adoptive daughter of MŽlanie Hahnemann some aspects of
his life were already known. But he himself had never been the focus of
research. Firstly, his life is described with the help of newly found
documents. Secondly, notices accidentally found in patient journals show how
Carl started as a homoeopath.
