Dieter Ullmann: Zur Geschichte der Raumakustik im 20. Jahrhundert (1900-1970)

This paper discusses the development of architectural acoustics from Sabine’s paper (1900) to the beginning of computer simulation. In the 20^th century, physicists have dominated this field, but the problems to be solved require an interdisciplinary approach involving physicists, musicians, and architects.
