Carsten Burhop: Die Bautätigkeit während der deutschen Industrialisierung. Anmerkungen zu den Zeitreihen von Walther G. Hoffmann

Walther G. Hoffmann’s time series concerning national accounting and industrial output in Germany was published in 1965. Until today it has formed the basis for quantitative analyses of the German industrialisation. This paper deals with miscalculations regarding calculation of building activities and of price indices of buildings and civil engineering works. Furthermore, the revealed miscalculations are corrected within the systematics of Hoffmann’s monograph.
