Mark Dickens

Mark Dickens was Research Assistant on the AHRC-funded project 'The Christian Library from Turfan' (2008–2011) and Teaching Fellow, Dept. for the Study of Religions, SOAS, University of London. He was also Research Fellow at Clare Hall (Cambridge) before taking the post of Killam Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta (Edmonton, Canada). Currently teaching at the University of Alberta, Dr. Dickens is a cultural historian of Central Asia and the Middle East who specializes in the interaction between Syriac Christianity and the inhabitants of Central Eurasia in Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages.
