Deutscher Apotheker Verlag
We are part of the Deutscher Apotheker Verlag media group, which includes the S. Hirzel publishing house with its German Studies programme. Together we shoulder major projects, such as our Franz Steiner > eLibrary, and thus offer you a well-established, solid publishing environment.
Locations, staff and programme
The Franz Steiner Verlag is part of the > Deutscher Apotheker Verlag media group, based in Stuttgart, Vienna, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Cologne. With a total of approximately 290 employees, it is one of the twenty leading specialist publishers in the German language area. Its range of products includes some 100 journals and more than 8,000 books, as well as numerous online services, ebooks and apps.
The Deutscher Apotheker Verlag is one of the few large media firms in Germany still under family ownership, and has been managed by the family since its foundation by Dr. Roland Schmiedel.
