Schriften des Hellmuth-Loening-Zentrums für Staatswissenschaften Jena

The non-profit Hellmuth-Loening-Zentrum für Staatswissenschaften Jena e.V. was founded on the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena in the era of change and new beginnings in the 1990s. It was started in order to promote cohesion in the discipline of state studies, primarily law studies, political studies, and economics. Central to this is the exchange of ideas and cooperation between science, politics, economy, and administration.

The HLC (HLZ) offers a forum for exchange between these disciplines and also takes into consideration political and juridical praxis. This interdisciplinary position is reflected in the current themes of the conferences and in the volumes of the publication series, which cover topics from European integration, administration reform, phasing out nuclear energy, to problems in voting rights.
