Schriftenreihe des Universitätsarchivs Hamburg

In 1919, the University of Hamburg was founded, becoming the first democratically founded university in Germany. Researching its history is one of the focal points of the series. Series publications are also dedicated to the specialist tasks of the Hamburg University Archives and overarching discussions of archival science. The studies are likewise committed to contextualizing the turbulent history of the University of Hamburg both historically and academically, taking not only local but also regional, national, and international references into consideration.

The series also concentrates on basic archival and historical research. Accordingly, the series publishes source editions in addition to monographs and anthologies.
