Zeithistorische Impulse

Since 2018, the academic book series of the Stiftung Bundespräsident-Theodor-Heuss-Haus has been published under the title Zeithistorische Impulse. The series comprises anthologies based on the Theodor Heuss Colloquia, monographs, biographies and editions. The focus lies on German history of the 20th century. The series addresses desiderata of contemporary history, presents innovative research findings and covers a broad spectrum of historical topics. In addition to individual aspects of Theodor Heuss' biography, these include democracy and liberalism, the educated middle class and intellectuals, democratic aesthetics and popular historiography as well as practices of democracy.

The Stiftung Bundespräsident-Theodor-Heuss-Haus is a federal non-partisan political memorial foundation based in Stuttgart.

For multi-authored volumes contact us as early as possible with details of the planned contributions. In initial submissions, our publication guidelines or citation rules do not have to be strictly followed.

All submissions are subjected to peer review. The review process can result in acceptance, the recommendation of revisions or rejection of the project. You will be informed of the decision by email. We attempt to reach a decision within 3 months of the submission of the manuscript.
