Maria Baramova is Associate Professor of Early Modern Southeastern European History at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Her research focuses on Southeastern Europe in the 16th–18th centuries, with particular emphasis on Ottoman–Habsburg relations, geopolitics, warfare and peace treaties.
