Tables

Technical guidelines
- Please do not send us tables as additional files (e.g., Excel, image files, etc.), but rather incorporate them directly into your manuscript using Word's table function.
- Please avoid using colored highlights. These cannot be transferred. Instead, use bold or italics for example.
Table heading
- In monographs, please number your tables consecutively throughout the entire manuscript.
- In anthologies, the table numbering starts anew with each contribution.
- Please note to consider tables seperately to images and to count them accordingly.
- Each table requires a table heading, which is usually structured according to the pattern “Tab. xy, short title, source (if applicable)”:
Tab. 1, Overview of Middle High German vowels, source: Middle High German Dictionary
- For volumes with few tables, the location, source, and copyright information can be included directly in the table heading. For volumes with many tables that require a source reference, we recommend a separate table of contents.
