Gabor Tamas Molnar


About

Gábor Tamás Molnár has worked at the Institute for Hungarian Literary and Cultural Studies at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, since 2007. He mostly teaches courses on literary theory, comparative literature and the methodology of teaching literature. He is currently associate professor with a habilitation earned in 2015. Gábor Tamás Molnár has also served as lecturer at McDaniel College Europe (also in Budapest) since 2009 where he has taught classes on world literature and US-American literature, usually with a multicultural focus. His research interests include theories of reading and interpretation, comparative literature and literary pedagogy.

Previously, Gábor Tamás Molnár held the position of guest professor at Babeş-Bolyai University (2018-2019), guest instructor at Rutgers the State University of New Jersey (2005-2007) and Indiana University Bloomington (1998-2001).
His most recent publications appeared in Journal of World Literature, Central European Cultures, Slavonic and East European Review, and Short Fiction in Theory and Practice. Gábor Tamás Molnár serves on the editorial board of Central European Cultures and Hungarian Cultural Studies.
