About

Anna Szczepaniak-Kozak is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Applied Linguistics at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (Poland). She currently serves as Vice-Director at the Institute and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Glottodidactica, a Scopus-indexed journal dedicated to research on language learning and teaching. She is also actively involved in two international research initiatives: the Horizon Europe project FOSTERLANG (Fostering Linguistic Capital), which explores language and educational policies across Europe, and the British Academy-funded ODOU project (Online Discourse On Ukrainians in the UK and Poland), based at Heriot-Watt University (UK).

  • discourse analysis — with a particular focus on offensive language, hate speech, and radicalisation

Awards

  • European Language Label for the MaMLiSE project (Majority and Minority Languages in School Environment) (2024)
  • Team Award in the Competition for the Best Academic Works on Education, granted by the Foundation for the Development of the Education System, the National Agency of the Erasmus Programme in Poland (2021)
  • First-Degree Award of the Rector of Adam Mickiewicz University for academic achievements (2018)
